Mead is a remarkable, centuries old alcoholic drink, obtained through the natural fermentation of honey. This mead is a Reserve, a type of quality mead made from a single, unique type of honey.

In the Biesbosch, a marshy nature-reserve just south of the Dutch city of Dordrecht, on the edge between forest, water and reclaimed land, stand the beehives that produced the honey for this mead. This mead is semi-sweet and slightly tart with aroma's of birch, balsam and wild flowers.
